A new trailer has appeared online for Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, an adaptation of a series of fantasy books written by Rick Riordan. The movie is about a teenage boy addressed Percy, who one day learns that he’s the son of the god Poseidon. He and so sets out about a quest to adjudicate a war between the Greek gods.
The 1st teaser preview for Percy Jackson debuted a few a long time ago and was just that – a teaser. It was apprehensible at the time that they did not demo that much, just it was important that the adjacent trailer give us a lot more. And altho they have not given us as much as I’d anticipated, the fresh trailer still allows more of a glimpse into this fantasy world, admitting showing us a few of the big, diverse cast that admits Pierce Brosnan, Rosario Dawson and Steve Coogan.
Even if that does not look all that deep or important, the film all the same looks like a decent enough fancy adventure, on plenty by a different famous faces fill the Greek blimey roles of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades (to name a few). I but wonder if the debated Harry Potter laws of similarity will hurt or help the film at the box office. People may see the laws of similarity to HP and see Percy Jackson based on that precept, while others could just want to wait for the next Potter flick to hit theaters. Although I think Percy Jackson will do decent at the box office, I can’t aid but believe that Potter will affect it negatively at any rate somewhat. What do you concoct the second Percy Jackson trailer? Do you think it will build a lot at the box office or fail as people will see them as inferior equated to the Harry Potter franchise?

It’s scheduled to hit theaters on February twelfth, 2010.
