Just over a month ago we talked about the future of the Blade franchise and at the time, it seemed that Stephen Dorff may help guide the series in a different direction with a trilogy of new movies set before the events of the first Blade. It naturally would star Dorff as the bad-ass vampire, Deacon Frost.

Stephen Norrington, director of the beginning Blade, said that he’d be back to process these prequels after he’s done processing the remake of The Crow and he supported that it would be Frost’s story but that it would be linked hard with the existing films. Now we have a few more tidbits about the next Blade film from different integral man behind the trilogy, David Goyer.
MTV News spoke with David Goyer, author of The Dark Knight, and he broke that there’s been talk of the next Blade film at fresh Line Cinema, positive that “there’s been grumbles” about the next Blade feature film project.
He did not specify whatever details, and so the talk is likely almost the Deacon Frost-centered films we heard about before.
However, I feel it a difficult to look on a Blade spinoff with no appearance of the vampire hunter in it. I do not think Wesley Snipes is also busy at the moment so I coulded having some sort of a role in it, perhaps causing troubles for Frost behind the scenes since he’s pretty famous amongst vampires he’s not killed yet. The other alternative is to re-cast but since this is inside continuity and centered Frost, that would not be necessary or a fine idea. Although Snipes’ late years have been screened with legal issues and behind-the-scenes troubles, I still would enjoy ascertaining him become vampires to ash. Maybe he coulded the next Twilight film… Goyer had this to tell about the current state of the dealership: “I think as you revisit these cases, the head is, how long should they stay away the shelf?… When we did ‘Batman Begins,’ he’d comprised off the shelf for about eight years. It has not been eight a long time yet for Blade. I think normally if you give them a little breathing room between iterations, it’s better.” Distancing themselves from the close remnants of the Blade dealership as it was would be wise. Blade: Trinity wasn’t well accepted, nor was the short-lived Blade television serial publication on Spike TV that Goyer helped produce and publish the pilot for.Stay tuned for more on duty Blade from Screen Rant reverences find it and look to Goyer’s latest work in the sweet-looking upcoming series, Flash Forward.

In my opinion I think doing a movie based on Frost would be bad. People are into Blade not the bad guys in the movies. Plus at the end of the third one Blade is still alive so the fourth one needs to work off of it.
