Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights Trailer Is Strangely Creepy

If you are unfamiliar with Emily Bronte’s immortal traditional Wuthering Heights, the trailer for the newest film incarnation… won’t help you complete the blanks. The brand new film version is actually directed by Andrea Arnold, who won a good Academy Award on her 2003 short movie Wasp, and made a large splash at this particular year’s Venice Movie Festival. My understanding of Victorian era books is pretty abysmal. But this trailer type of makes this edition of Wuthering Heights appear to be a horror movie. It’s mostly candle lit hand-held shots without any dialogue, underscored through an ominous blowing wind. Then, when all of us finally hear the line spoken, all of us get, “you shattered my heart… a person killed me. ” I vaguely remember something concerning the main character within Wuthering Heights speaking with or trying to speak with ghosts, but I don’t keep in mind that being a generating force behind the actual plot. спанчбоб
Jane Eyre while using theme from Suspiria within the trailer despite the lack of anything even remotely supernatural in the story. Apparently high of the film is shot with this hand-held style, that is what sets it aside from other film modifications of Wuthering Levels. It will be interesting to determine how a few of the seemingly non sequitor imagery is going to be incorporated into the actual narrative. Wuthering Heights opens in the united kingdom in November, but no term yet on when it may be released stateside.
